No one can definitively say whether or not divorce shortens your life. However, there are a number of studies that suggest it does. There are many possible explanations for these findings. Divorce can be very stressful and lead to anxiety and depression, which in turn can lead to poor health outcomes. While there is no doubt that divorce has some negative consequences, it is also important to remember that not all divorces are bad news.
